Boulder Landlords Spend $1 Million on Energy Efficiency Upgrades
As 2011 came to an end it became evident that the City of Boulder handily surpassed its goals of inspecting and certifying rental properties for SmartRegs. As the Daily Camera reported, as early as November, over 1200 units had been inspected, and nearly 900 have been certified as being SmartRegs compliant, that is, they have already met basic energy efficiency standards that must be reached by 2019.
