It seems EnergySmart, Boulder County’s energy efficiency program administered by Populus, is gaining national attention. The Boulder Weekly quoted Boulder County Sustainability Coordinator Susie Strife, who explained that the conversion rate (i.e. making improvements after having an energy audit) of participants in EnergySmart is over 50%. This success is even more striking when compared to the national average of around 15%.
