Populus, LLC, a growing residential energy consulting firm has several openings for energy advisor positions in both Boulder and Denver. The primary role of the energy advisor is to move customers to make investments in energy efficiency. These energy advisor positions require a mixture of in office and in the field work, including visiting customers homes to provide advice about energy upgrades.

While training is provided, candidates with existing knowledge and abilities in the following areas are preferred:

- Knowledge of rebates and incentives for the different types of energy retrofits.
- Applying knowledge of rebates to scope of work
- General understanding of building science and systems
- Ability to explain technical data in easy to understand terms
- Ability to install basic energy efficiency measures
- Assist homeowners in completing applications for rebates and other incentives
- Assist homeowners in creating a scope of work and in contractor selection
- Review energy audit report with homeowners
- Be capable of thoroughly collecting data and inputting into Customer Management System
- Provide homeowners with basic education with respect to energy efficiency

The following skills are required for this position:

Ability to lift 20 lbs and carry bag with energy efficiency items
Well organized and have the ability to multi-task
Excellent customer service abilities
Ability to interact with the public
Ability to learn new information quickly
