The Home Energy Rating System, or "HERS", Index estimates how your home performs compared to a house built to code. Just as MPG is the measure of your car’s efficiency, a HERS Index score is the energy-efficiency measurement standard for homes adopted by numerous municipalities and organizations, including ENERGY STAR and LEED for Homes.
